Yoga Teacher Training

mini yogis tween/teen yoga training

Instructor: Shana Meyerson

About The Program

If you have teens and tweens, love yoga, and want to make a difference in the lives of young adults, this is the training for you!

Focusing primarily on children ages 9-16, this ten-hour course will give you all the tools you need to create your own yoga program for older kids, preteens, and teens (and Yoga Alliance CEUs, too!) Through the use of games, props, and sequencing, we will transform traditional practice into a creative, stimulating, and—most importantly–FUN yoga experience for children ages 9 – 16.

You do not have to take the foundation training (for working with younger kids) in order to take this training, but it is highly recommended, either before or after this training.

In this teen/tween training, we will delve into the world of interactive asana and movement, and cover topics such as sequencing, teaching challenging postures to kids, and helping kids to deal with growing up in a yogic way. You will experience a one-hour mini yogis class, and to learn how to design empowering kid-specific practices that encourage older children to be strong, self-confident, and healthy in mind, body, and spirit.

Certification will be earned upon completion.

Yoga Instructor Training & Yin Yoga Student Intensive

Instructor Training Overview

This 50-hour Yoga Alliance Continued Education Program (YACEP) encompasses both the theory and the practice of yin yoga. Whether you want to learn to become a yin yoga teacher or simply learn more about yin yoga, floo-id YOGA offers one of the most comprehensive student-intensive/teacher-training programs.

Yoga practice in the West is mostly yang with muscular exertion. Yin yoga is designed to release tension and the flow of energy throughout the body by addressing joints and connective tissues with muscles relaxed. Yin practice cultivates patience, receptivity, and calm, the necessary qualities for lifelong contentment.

About The Teacher Training Program

This interactive course is a practical, transformational journey through:

  • yin yoga styles, and the art of practicing and/or teaching yin yoga

Fostering the uniqueness of the individual, this yoga instructor training program is an in-depth study to enliven your inner journey and learn how to practice and/or teach yoga from your own experience.
